What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a form of psychotherapy that is used to create subconscious change in a client in the form of new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviours and feelings.

How can you benefit from a Hypnosis session?

We all have had the experience of feeling anxious. Take a fear of flying as an example. In some people this can become increased if the situation is strong enough, such as a  plane going through a thunderstorm.

Due to the intensity, such responses can become hardwired in our unconscious and become our default reaction. Just imagine the volume dial being  turned up to 10 and getting stuck.

The process of stimulus and response is continually happening  and infleuncing how we act and react. Hypnosis is a way of changing this relationship and allowing for more conscious direction.

It works with the unconscious part of ourselves and allows inner strength and resources to be accessed. Change can be created on a deep level that filters to all aspects of who we are and how we live.

Clinical Hypnosis vs Stage Hypnosis

Clinical hypnosis is vastly different from the well-known stage hypnosis. It uses advanced techniques and theories and is being researched by Medical and Educational Institutes internationally. All this contributes to helping many conditions ranging from pain or IBS to phobias and unwanted behaviour.

"I chose Clinical hypnosis as I have seen first hand the power of the mind for positive or negative outcomes. Working as a mental health professional I have witnessed both recoveries from severe conditions, such as addiction, and vice versa.

Those who have recovered contributed it to something changing inside. Others created self fulfiling prophecies after they have been told that they had a condition."                                                                                                    - Mark
